Mile End Climbing Wall and Head On Out have teamed up to offer a weekend climbing trip.
We will spend the weekend either on the hallowed gritstone crags of the Peak District or on the scenic limestone cliffs of Portland (dpending on where the best weather is) and stay overnight in the local Youth Hostel.
Whatever your level of ability, our friendly and knowledgeable instructors will give you expert tuition, advice and coaching, searching out your ideal climbs to give you a fully tailored trip.
Transport from Mile End, accommodation and kit are provided, all you need to supply is your food.
The trips are on 18th & 19th July and 15th & 16th August 2020.
The price is £300 per person. this covers; travel from Mile End Climbing Wall, climbing kit, accommodation and two days instruction/coaching from a nationally qualified climbing instructor.
We can accommodate climbers of most levels and abilities on a trip like this however it's not really ideal if you have never climbed before. Ideally you will have climbed indoors and know how to put on a climbing harness, tie in with a suitable knot and be able to belay. Someone who has completed our Roped Climbing for Beginners course would be at the perfect level for this course.
Places are limited to a maximum of 4 climbers.
the course is only for people aged over 18 years.
we normally meet at Mile End Climbing Wall around 07:30 on the Saturday and return to the same place around 22:00 on the Sunday.
we will be staying at a youth hostel in the Peak District or Portland.
each customer is responsible for their own food. You will need lunch on the crags and dinner on Saturday night. Breakfast can be booked at the hostel if you want a nice cooked breakfast before you go out. We normally stop off somewhere on the way home to get dinner on the Sunday.
we will supply all the technical kit. If you need a harness, helmet or shoes we can provide these too. We will get in touch a few weeks before the trip to check your requirements.
we will always endeavour to do everything in our power to climb as much as possible but we cannot control the great British weather. All climbers know that sometime you just get rained off and have to make other plans. Please be aware that we won't reschedule due to bad weather and we won't give refunds or make any changes within 14 days of the start of the course please check the terms and conditions when you are making your booking).
