For a number of years now Mile end Climbing Wall have been working together with Head On Out, an award-winning outdoor company offering a range of climbing trips and courses for open or private booking. Unlike other companies, they include transport wherever possible - staying ahead of the weather to find the best conditions, giving you maximum time on the rock. Whatever your needs and abilities, their team of friendly, highly-qualified instructors will keep you safe, improve your skills, and help take the hassle out of the outdoors.

This is an instructor-led top roping day, open to anyone, at any level, with a maximum 1:4 ratio. More than that and we don't feel that you'll receive the attention you need. Your instructor will meet you in London and take you to the area with the best weather on the day, ensuring maximum time on the rock with the best conditions. We provide any kit that you may require, and tailor the choice of routes to your ability.

This trip gives you the skills you need to become an independent outdoor sport leader, with a maximum 1:4 ratio. The course begins with a 4 hour indoor session on the Friday evening to learn the necessary techniques, then on Sunday you have a full day on the rock to consolidate and put your new skills into practice. Your instructor will take you to the area with the best weather on the day, ensuring maximum time on the rock with the best conditions. We provide any kit that you may require, and tailor the choice of routes to your ability.
Experience needed: you must be a competent indoor leader, comfortable top-roping 6a.

This trip gives you the skills you need to become an independent trad leader, with a maximum 1:2 ratio. Taking place over four days in the Peak District, the course covers: Gear placement, Anchor building, Assessing the rock, Rope management, Route reading, and much more! We provide any kit that you may need, and tailor the choice of routes to your ability.
Experience needed: you must be a competent leader, comfortable top-roping 6a.
