Book yourself in for an hour of total relaxation at Mile End's very own Finnish sauna....
In traditional Finnish saunas the room is 80-110°C, and steam and vibes (löyly) are created by throwing water onto rocks which are heated on top of the sauna stove. In our little sauna corner you can sit and enjoy the heat for as long as you like, and then cool down in our outdoor shower and whisky-barrel plunge pool. The outdoor area also has benches and a wooden privacy screen so you can really take space to have a proper unwind.
There are 8 slots per hour (9 during off peak) to keep the space uncrowded, and we ask that customers wear swimwear and sit on towels to keep the sauna hygienic. We also recommend bringing a bottle of water to stay hydrated, and flip flops to easily go between the in- and outside areas.
So grab a friend, bring a book, or treat yourself to an hour of doing absolutely nothing at all.
Each customer is required to fill out Sauna agreement and Adult Registration Form before their first visit to the centre and report to reception before each visit. Customers must bring a towel to use the sauna, or rent one here for £2.
