(Please note that it is not possible to split your sessions across different weekends, nor is it possible to choose different start times for each day.) Please check times when booking.
The age limit for participants is 14 years old. Anyone under 18 should . The form must be signed by a legal parent or guardian and handed in to reception at the start of the course. Young people who turn up without the form or with the form filled out incorrectly will not be allowed to take part and no refunds will be given.
In my opinion, the class was really well structured (all in one day would be a bit to much), good students/teacher ratio, very kind and polite instructor, great vibe/atmosphere and especially very good value for money. Never felt unsafe or uncomfortable, especially during fall practice. I would definitely recommend this class to friends wiling to move their first steps into climbing.
Hope to come back soon.

Friendly knowledgeable instructor. Left feeling confident to climb without supervision

Confident at ropes with no knowledge previously. Only thing I missed out was practicing catching falls, everytime it was up to me to be the faller. Otherwise superb instructor, taught me so much. Recommending to a friend!

Climbing as a pastime had been mentioned to me some time ago by a friend, but I had put it off for three or four years until I finally got around to booking the weekend beginners course. I enjoyed every minute of both days. Our instructor Ethan was great: he taught us how to safely tie knots, belay, and anchor ourselves--all the important stuff. He also encouraged the whole group, and helped me get over a pretty scary moment getting over the top of the boulder upstairs. The balance between theory and practice is just about right: there's no sitting in a class getting a lecture, but what you learn can be put in to practice right away. The length of each session was just right too: enough to feel tired and as though we had learned something, but not so much that any muscles were aching too badly. We were given a tour of the whole site and shown all the different rooms and types of climbing walls--which was really nice since there's way more stuff to do than is at first obvious.
To nitpick a *little* bit, I think maybe a short amount of time on falling (like how to avoid it, how to get over the fear of it and, at worst, how to do it safely) would have been useful--at least for a scaredy-cat like me!
I have already signed up, bought myself some climbing shoes and a chalk bag, and have been back three more times in just over a week since finishing the course. (The scary boulder, and the chance of falling off it, is no longer scary.) I had a really fantastic time, thank you very much!

The course was excellent, well taught and very useful. In addition to the instruction on ropes climbing I especially appreciated the bouldering coaching. Two great sessions.

It was good, but would have been worth spending time on technique more on day one rather than day two.
