Price update for 2022

As of 1 January 2022 our prices will be changing. Some prices are going up, but we’re getting rid of registration fees and freezing the price of monthly passes and e-wallets.

Why are the prices changing?

Like many other organisations, we’ve been affected by events outside of our control over the last two years. But in addition to this there are other changes at the wall which require additional funding – many of them positive and beneficial for our staff and customers:

  • In response to customer demand, we’re building a new gym and training area, to be completed by Summer 2022.
  • We’ve replaced a large number of panels in the Rope Bay, ensuring the long term sustainability, safety and quality of climbing in this area.
  • All of our staff salaries are being raised to meet at least London Living Wage.
  • Our rent (as set by our local council) has increased 300% in the last year.

Here are some of the key price changes:

  • We’ve scrapped the registration fee, previously £5 for first-timers, so it’s now a flat fee of £13 for a single entry – regardless of whether it’s your first time or thirtieth time.
  • Monthly prices, e-wallets, annual passes and student 20 climbs are all frozen at the same price for the time being – we’re trying to keep the prices down for our regular and committed climbers.
  • Don’t forget that you can also supervise a child for free if you have a monthly / e-wallet / annual pass.

We’d like to thank all of our customers – the extended Mile End family – for your support during the last two years. If you have any questions about the changes and how it will affect you, don’t hesitate to call, email or simply chat to the staff next time you’re in.
